Dr. David R. DeForest

Dr. David R. DeForest has been in General Dentistry since 1991, when he started his practice in Oregon, Illinois.  He received his Bachelors degree from Western Illinois University, where he was a member of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society.  In 1988, Dr. DeForest received his Bachelors of Science in Dentistry and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1990 both from the University of Illinois in Chicago.  He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society.  His commitment to maintaining a state-of-the-art practice is done by his devotion to

continuing education for him and his team and by using the newest technology available. He supports the community through his membership in the Oregon and Byron Chamber of Commerce, sponsoring an all girls softball team, and donating to the local school districts.  In addition to dentistry, Dr. DeForest enjoys snowmobiling, water activities, aircraft piloting and relaxing by the lake with his wife Carla and four children.

Arin Ferge, Assistant Office Manager

I have been with DeForest Dental for 6 years. My duties include staff training, patient education and incorporating new digital communication with our patients. I like to keep busy with local organization events and doing the marketing for the office. My essential goal as Assistant Office Manager is to give knowledge and education to our patients so they can experience an exceptional dental visit time and time again.

I really enjoy working at DeForest Dental and meeting so many wonderful individuals and assisting them to reach their personal goals. There is extreme reward in seeing someone leave our office happy and proud of their smile and knowing that we contributed to that goal.

Working for Dr. DeForest is a great honor, he truly cares about each and every patient and you can feel that care when you meet him. His calm and collective demeanor is always refreshing in such a busy economy.

Sonja Stoker, Financial Advisor

I have worked in finance for 5 years and counting. As financial advisor for DeForest Dental, I handle the billing of insurance companies and help patients with financial arrangements should they be necessary.

I enjoy getting to know all our patients and look forward to helping them achieve their dental needs.

Erin Sellers, Associate Degree of Applied
Sciences in Dental Hygiene – Illinois Central College

I am one of the Hygienists at DeForest Dental, and have been with the office since 1996. I like to educate the patients and help them keep a healthy smile. I also enjoy keeping in touch with all of the patients I have met over the years. In addition to my hygiene responsibilities in the dental office, I like to keep up with the newest dental knowledge outside the office. The Chicago MidWinter Dental Convention is one of the ways I like to stay current on new techniques and procedures, as well as RDH under one roof where dental hygienists from around the United States get together and learn the latest information in dental hygiene. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, spending time with my three children and my husband Trent.

Rachael Brandon, Associate Degree of Applied
Sciences in Dental Hygiene

I have been a part of the DeForest Dental Team since June 2003.  I am a graduate of Oregon High School and an Illinois Veteran with 5 years active duty in the United States Air F.orce

My dental experiences include a Certificate in Dental Assisting, acquired in Rockford, Illinois and 4 years experience chair side. I like to stay current with dental health and information by attending various seminars and hands on training throughout the year. I am also involved with Dental Public Health Awareness programs and school activities.

Bridget McPhilllips, Dental Assistant

I have worked at DeForest Dental for 6 ½ years. I enjoy working with people and getting the chance to know all of our patients. Some of my responsibilities in our office include helping to seat patients, assist the Doctor with procedures and schedule any appointments necessary to complete the patients dental needs.

I enjoy working for Dr. DeForest because he is very easy going and a great person!

Outside of work, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends.

Jessica South, Dental Assistant

I have worked at DeForest Dental for almost 4 years. I enjoy working with people and getting the chance to know all of our patients. Some of my responsibilities in our office include helping to seat patients, assist the Doctor with procedures and schedule any appointments necessary to complete the patients dental needs.

I enjoy working for Dr. DeForest because he does quality work and he is a very calm and gentle person with a very nice sense of humor. He takes the time to really get to know everyone that comes into the office.

Outside of the office, I spend time with my husband Sam and our 2 sons Tim and Kevin. We have 3 dogs, 1 cat and 2 turtles, just for fun. We stay busy with our church activities and when we find free time, we enjoy camping, hiking and fishing.
